Construction Products Regulation (CPR) & UKCA/CE Marking

From 1 January 2021, the UKCA (UK Conformity Assessed) marking became the conformity marking for construction products placed on the market in Great Britain (England, Scotland and Wales) following the UK’s departure from the European Union. Under the Construction Products Regulation (CPR), construction products covered by a designated standard or supported by a UK Technical Assessment must comply with the applicable regulatory requirements before being placed on the GB market.

The purpose of the CPR is to harmonise the technical specifications of construction products, standardise methods of testing and assessment, and ensure consistent performance information is provided throughout the construction industry.

UKCA Marking

Construction products placed on the market in Great Britain may carry either the UKCA marking or, where currently permitted by UK legislation, the CE marking in accordance with the latest government guidance. Products supplied into Northern Ireland or the European Economic Area (EEA) must continue to comply with relevant CE marking requirements.

All relevant Wincro products covered by a designated standard are independently assessed and supplied with the appropriate conformity marking in accordance with current legislation.

The following product ranges comply with the relevant requirements of the Construction Products Regulation:

  • Cavity Wall Ties
  • Channel Ties
  • Frame Cramps
  • Lintels
  • Masonry Reinforcement
  • Masonry Support Systems
  • Movement Ties
  • Stonework Ties
  • Windposts
Declaration of Performance

All relevant Wincro products carry the appropriate conformity marking and are supported by a Declaration of Performance (DoP), available on request.

It is the manufacturer’s responsibility to ensure that products placed on the market comply with all applicable legislation and carry the correct conformity marking.

The UKCA mark assures the end user of a products conformity to its harmonized European Standard covered under the CPR.
