Construction Products Regulation (CPR) & UKCA/CE Marking
From 1 January 2021, the UKCA (UK Conformity Assessed) marking became the conformity marking for construction products placed on the market in Great Britain (England, Scotland and Wales) following the UK’s departure from the European Union. Under the Construction Products Regulation (CPR), construction products covered by a designated standard or supported by a UK Technical Assessment must comply with the applicable regulatory requirements before being placed on the GB market.
The purpose of the CPR is to harmonise the technical specifications of construction products, standardise methods of testing and assessment, and ensure consistent performance information is provided throughout the construction industry.
