Wincro LBS Brick Slip Soffit System

Wincro LBS brick slip units provide a simple, time saving and lightweight solution for incorporating soffit brickwork details to the full range of Wincro masonry support systems.

Considerably lighter than traditional brick slip precast concrete products, Wincro LBS can be quickly and easily mechanically fixed on site to any Wincro WSC or WSCFA masonry support system, thus reducing installation time significantly.

Wincro LBS is a BBA Approved brick slip faced, prefabricated stainless steel tray unit that is manufactured off-site in a UKCA approved factory environment and supplied complete with brick slips bonded using a high strength adhesive and produced from the clients’ same batch of bricks ensuring a perfect match is achieved.

The system has been independently tested by Notified Approval Bodies to evaluate and validate the load capacity, physical performance, reaction to fire behaviour and long-term durability of all system components. Wincro LBS is suitable for use in buildings over 18 metres high and complies with Approved Document B (Fire Safety) of the Building Regulations.

Changes to Approved Document B of the Building Regulations require that brick slip products must achieve an ‘A’ fire rating for non-combustible materials for use in the external walls of residential buildings over 18 metres in height as well as in care homes, student accommodation and hospitals.

Wincro LBS is manufactured in stainless steel 1.4301 (304) and is fully adjustable to provide easy, onsite adjustment.

The following are typical LBS slip solutions, however we design and manufacture each individual products to suit the requirements of the project. All designed and manufactured in line with BS EN 1090.

The bonding profiles noted above are typical. However, our in-house team can design and manufacture each individual solution to suit the requirements of the project. Please feel free to contact our technical services team who would be happy to discuss.

Simple Installation

Detailed drawings and an installation guide are provided with all orders. Simple steps are as follows;

  1. Fix WSC masonry support angle to structure using supplied installation guide. Line and level to suit.
  2. Offer up LBS slip unit to underside of angle. Fasten LBS unit into location holes in support angle.
  3. Install neighbouring LBS Ensure adjacent units have correct mortar joint width.
  4. Align and level LBS units in position. Shims can be inserted for fine adjustments.
  5. Tighten bolts to secure LBS units in place.
  6. Proceed to lay brickwork onto support angle.
  7. Adjustment on site: The MSA Angle has pre-cut slots for +/- 10mm tolerance and is fixed on a channel for max horizontal adjustment, to assist with lining up to the required bond pattern.
  8. Joint to be pointed on site to match site spec.

Specification Details/Ordering

The following is an example of a Wincro WSC LBS Brick Slip Soffit Support System specification.

All systems are designed to suit the masonry height to be supported, the cavity width and structural fixing position, together with brick soffit detail.

Wincro WSC system in grade 1.4301 (304) stainless steel. System designed to suit
100mm cavity and 4m high 102mm thick masonry. Fixed to concrete with Wincro WBT T
Head Bolts.

LBS Brick Slip Soffit unit c/w fixings. Manufactured off- site and delivered complete with
bonded bricks (from your free issue supply) – Size and Bond pattern to suit project
