The Wincro range of Cavity Wall Ties is manufactured from high quality stainless steel 1.4301 (304) and is suitable for buildings of all heights.

Available in a wide variety of lengths and suiting cavities from 50mm upwards, all Wincro Cavity Wall Ties can use the WIC plastic insulation retaining clip for partially insulated cavities.

Ties should be carefully selected to ensure they achieve a 50mm minimum embedment of tie end into the mortar.

To allow for site tolerances, Wincro recommends choosing ties to provide a 62.5mm embedment.

Range of Cavity Wall Ties

WT1 Type 1 Tie (Masonry Heavy Duty)

Wincro WT1 tie is manufactured from stainless steel grade 1.4301(304) and conforms to PD6697: 2010 as a Type 1 tie.WT1 is suitable for cavities from 50mm to 175mm and is available in lengths from 200mm to 300mm. Suitable for buildings of any height, anywhere in the U.K, WT1 has a measured dynamic stiffness of <113MN/m3 to meet the performance requirements of Approved Document E for use in external masonry walls. The tie features various ribs to provide water drips and can be used with the WIC plastic insulation retaining clip in partial fill cavities. For internal separating walls of new-build dwellings see WT4 below.

WT1/225– 225mm for 76-100mm cavities

WTS2S Type 1 Tie (Masonry Heavy Duty)

Wincro WTS2S tie is manufactured from stainless steel grade 1.4301(304) and conforms to PD6697: 2010 as a Type 1 tie. WTS2S is suitable for cavities from 25mm and is available in lengths from 175mm to 300mm, as standard. Longer lengths are also available to special order. Suitable for buildings of any height, anywhere in the U.K. WTS2S has a measured dynamic stiffness of <113MN/m3.to meet the performance requirements of Approved Document E for use in external masonry walls. The tie features an integral formed drip and can be used with the WIC plastic insulation retaining clip in partial fill cavities. For internal separating walls of new-build dwellings see WT4 below.

WT2 Type 2 Tie (Masonry General Purpose)

Wincro WT2 is manufactured from stainless steel grade 1.4301(304) wire and conforms to PD6697: 2010 as a Type 2 tie. WT2 is suitable for cavities from 50mm to 150mm and is available in lengths from 200mm to 300mm.

Suitable for domestic dwellings and small commercial buildings up to 15m high, WT2 has been assessed independently by the BRE and has NHBC approval for technical requirements. It can also be used in buildings greater than 15m where calculations prove it suitable. Please contact our Technical Design Team for further information. WT2 has a measured dynamic stiffness of <113MN/m3 to meet the performance requirements of Approved Document E for use in external masonry walls. The tie features an integral formed multidrip and can be used with the WIC plastic insulation-retaining clip in partial fill cavities. For internal separating walls of new-build dwellings see WT4 below.

WT4 Type 4 Tie (Masonry Light Duty)

Wincro WT4 is manufactured from stainless steel grade 1.4301(304) wire and conforms to PD6697: 2010 as a Type 4 tie. WT4 is suitable for cavities from 50mm to 150mm and is available in lengths from 200mm to 275mm.

Suitable for domestic dwellings up to 10m high, WT4 has been assessed independently by the BRE and has NHBC approval for technical requirements. WT4 has a measured dynamic stiffness of <4.8MN/m3 to meet the performance requirements of Approved Document E for use in separating (party) walls of any height as a Type A Tie. The tie features an integral formed multidrip and can be used with the WIC Plastic Insulation-Retaining Clip in partial fill cavities.
