Wincro offers an extensive range of Masonry Support systems for fixing to concrete structures, as featured below.
All systems are carefully designed by our Technical Design Team to suit the specific application and our optimisation design package ensures the most cost-effective system is designed quickly and safely. Systems are designed to suit the masonry height to be supported, the cavity width and structural fixing position.
Various fixing solutions are available including the use of T-head bolts into Cast-In Channels, site drilled expansion bolts or the use of resin anchor products.
WSC Bracket System
Adjustment
The WSC Bracket System allows for adjustment in all three planes. Casting WC30 or WC38 cast-in channels into the edge of the slab provides almost unlimited horizontal adjustment, while our Wincro serrated slot fixing gives vertical adjustment of +/- 26mm. Lateral adjustment is provided by the use of stainless steel packing shims between the system and structure.
Specification Details/Ordering
The following is an example of a WSC Bracket Support systems specification. All are designed to suit the masonry height to be supported, the cavity width and structural fixing position.
WSC cavity/masonry height/fixing type/other | Example: WSC100 / 4.0 / T |
Wincro WSC system in grade 1.4301 (304) stainless steel. System designed to suit 100mm cavity and 4m high 100/102 thick masonry. Fixed to concrete with Wincro WBT T Head Bolts. |
WSCFA Cold Formed Angle / Gusset Angle System
Wincro WSCFA Cold Formed Angle Support systems are generally used where there is a reduced cavity situation or a need for the cavity to be closed at the support location. Comprising a traditional support angle, WSCFA systems are capable of supporting masonry over 9m in height and can be designed to incorporate all the fixing methods employed for other masonry support systems shown in this section.
The WSCFA Angle system can also be supplied inverted to accommodate situations where the coursing level/horizontal movement joint is above the fixing position. Sample configurations are shown below.
